The crowd at Monday's league challenge between the Ben L. Smith Golden Eagles (Greensboro, NC) and the visiting High Point Central Bison (High Point, NC), observed Ben L. Smith's basketball team overwhelm High Point Central by a score of 63-13.

The Golden Eagles (15-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Rockingham County (Wentworth, NC). The Cougars come into the 3A Mid-State challenge with a 14-2 record. In their last challenge, Rockingham County was routed by Dudley (Greensboro, NC), 48-31, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Bison encounter the Eastern Guilford Wildcats (Gibsonville, NC) in a 3A Mid-State challenge, on Wednesday, January 29. High Point Central will attempt to improve on its 0-17 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 7-11 record after their 54-39 league win over Northeast Guilford (McLeansville, NC).
