The Van Buren Crusaders basketball squad (Van Buren, ME), was nudged 23-21 in Monday's league battle with the host Easton Bears (Easton, ME)
With the victory, Easton advances its record to 3-12 on the year. The Bears travel to Madawaska (Madawaska, ME) to meet the Owls in a non-league battle on Saturday, February 1. The Owls enter the battle with a record of 2-14.
The Crusaders now own a 3-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Central Aroostook for a D North battle on Friday, January 31. Van Buren will meet a Panthers squad coming off a 46-40 league win over Southern Aroostook (Dyer Brook, ME). The Panthers record now stands at 14-2.
