The First Academy Eagles basketball team scored 28 points and limited the visiting Hernando Christian Academy Lions to 20 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Monday.

The Eagles now have a 9-7 record. They play next when they host Lake Mary Prep for a non-league game on Tuesday, January 28. First Academy will confront a Griffins team coming off a 34-33 non-league loss to Taylor (Pierson, FL). The Griffins record now stands at 7-11.

With the loss, Hernando Christian Academy falls to 1-10 on the campaign. The Lions host Seven Rivers Christian (Lecanto, FL) to confront the Warriors in a non-league game on Tuesday, January 28. The Warriors go into the game with a record of 11-6. Seven Rivers Christian lost 100-29 in their recent non-league game against Wildwood (Wildwood, FL)
