In Monday's league contest, the host Tamaqua Blue Raiders basketball team scored a big 47-19 win over the Minersville Battlin' Miners.

The Blue Raiders (16-4) will now prepare for their contest against Panther Valley (Lansford, PA). The Panthers come into the Schuylkill County 1 contest with a 8-11 record. In their last contest, Panther Valley was trounced by Schuylkill Haven (Schuylkill Haven, PA), 65-28, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Battlin' Miners battle the Tri-Valley Bulldogs (Hegins, PA) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, February 6. Minersville will attempt to better on its 0-12 season record.
