Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Tyrone can't hold off Penns Valley Area

Penns Valley Area Rams (Spring Mills, PA) supporters left the game happy Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Tyrone Golden Eagles (Tyrone, PA), 45-43 in a league match.

With the victory, Penns Valley Area advances its record to 9-7 on the year. The Rams travel to Mount Union (Mount Union, PA) to face the Trojans in a non-league match on Thursday, January 30. The Trojans enter the match with a record of 5-10. Mount Union lost 49-43 in their recent non-league match against McConnellsburg (McConnellsburg, PA)

The Golden Eagles now own a 8-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Punxsutawney for a non-league match on Wednesday, January 29. Tyrone will face a Chucks squad coming off a 47-23 non-league win over Elk County Catholic (St. Marys, PA). The Chucks record now stands at 4-7.
