The Pickens Academy Pirates (Carrollton, AL) basketball edged the host Pickens County Tornadoes (Reform, AL), 45-40 in Monday's league bout.
The Pirates now possess a 4-8 record. They play next when they travel to Berry for a non-league bout on Thursday, January 30.
With the loss, Pickens County falls to 1-15 on the campaign. The Tornadoes travel to West Lowndes (Columbus, MS) to play the Panthers in a non-league bout on Friday, January 31. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 6-12.
