The Polk County Wildcats basketball squad (Benton, TN), was nudged 49-47 in Monday's non-league battle with the host Sequoyah Chiefs (Madisonville, TN)
With the victory, Sequoyah advances its record to 4-11 on the year. The Chiefs host Soddy Daisy (Soddy Daisy, TN) to meet the Trojans in a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 28. The Trojans enter the battle with a record of 15-7. Soddy Daisy won 58-39 in their recent league battle against Hixson (Hixson, TN)
The Wildcats now own a 7-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Tellico Plains for a 2A District 3 test on Tuesday, January 28. Polk County will encounter a Bears squad coming off a 77-71 league win over Roane County (Kingston, TN). The Bears record now stands at 9-8.
