The Marshall Tigers ice hockey team scored 5 points and held the host Fairmont Cardinals to 1 in the Tigers non-league victory on Monday.

The Tigers now own a 6-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Luverne for a Southwest bout on Tuesday, February 4.

With the defeat, Fairmont moves to 0-15 on the season. The Cardinals host Faribault (Faribault, MN) to encounter the Falcons in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 28. The Falcons go into the bout with a record of 3-11. Faribault lost 11-0 in their recent league bout against Mankato West (Mankato, MN)
