In Monday's non-league contest, the host DeWitt Panthers basketball team scored a close 58-55 triumph over the Grand Ledge Comets.
The Panthers (14-3) will now prepare for their contest against Okemos (Okemos, MI). The Wolves go into the contest with a 7-7 record. In their last contest, Okemos nipped Everett (Lansing, MI), 73-28, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Comets battle the Holt Rams (Holt, MI) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, January 30. Grand Ledge will attempt to better on its 1-5 season record.
