Knox Central Panthers (Barbourville, KY) supporters left the game satisfied Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the host Oneida Baptist Institute Mountaineers (Oneida, KY), 29-28 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Knox Central advances its record to 2-1 on the year. The Panthers host Tri-Cities Christian (Blountville, TN) to face the Eagles in a non-league match on Saturday, February 1. The Eagles enter the match with a record of 0-0.
The Mountaineers now own a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Menifee County for a non-league match on Thursday, January 30. Oneida Baptist Institute will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 70-21 non-league loss to Raceland (Raceland, KY). The Wildcats record now stands at 0-2.
