Kermit Yellow Jackets (Kermit, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Anthony Wildcats (Anthony, TX), 63-56 in a league bout.

With the victory, Kermit upgrades its record to 12-11 on the campaign. The Yellow Jackets host Presidio (Presidio, TX) to play the Blue Devils in a 3A Region I District 4 bout on Tuesday, February 1. The Blue Devils come into the bout with a record of 10-9. Presidio lost 56-42 in their recent league bout against Alpine (Alpine, TX)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Alpine Bucks (Alpine, TX) in a 3A Region I District 4 bout, on Friday, February 11. Anthony will attempt to upgrade on its 6-16 season record.
