Athens Bible Trojans (Athens, AL) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Woodville Panthers (Woodville, AL), 57-44 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Athens Bible upgrades its record to 12-8 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to Crossville (Crossville, AL) to play the Lions in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 29. The Lions come into the bout with a record of 0-17.

Next up, the Panthers play the Sylvania Rams (Sylvania, AL) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 31. Woodville will attempt to upgrade on its 4-9 season record. The Rams come into the bout with a 6-17 record after their 68-59 non-league loss to Skyline (Scottsboro, AL).
