The Bureau Valley Storm basketball team (Manlius, IL), was overwhelmed 80-55 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Newman Central Catholic Comets (Sterling, IL)
The Comets now possess a 15-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Easton Valley for a non-league battle on Saturday, January 29. Newman Central Catholic will confront a team coming off a 65-31 league win over Prince of Peace Prep (Clinton, IA). The record now stands at 12-3.
The Storm (11-12) will now prepare for their battle against Lena-Winslow (Lena, IL). The Panthers come into the non-league battle with a 9-10 record. In their last battle, Lena-Winslow was overwhelmed by Dakota (Dakota, IL), 38-33, in a league battle.
