The Providence Day Chargers (Charlotte, NC) basketball nipped the host Cannon Cougars (Concord, NC), 67-60 in Friday's league test.
The Chargers (18-5) will now prepare for their test against Charlotte Latin (Charlotte, NC). The Hawks go into the NCISAA Charlotte Independent test with a 19-2 record. In their last test, Charlotte Latin got by Cannon (Concord, NC), 64-54, in a league test.
The Cougars now own a 10-12 record. They play next when they travel to Charlotte Latin for a NCISAA Charlotte Independent test on Saturday, January 29. Cannon will encounter a Hawks squad coming off a 57-55 league win over Charlotte Country Day School (Charlotte, NC). The Hawks record now stands at 18-2.
