California High School Basketball - Homestead can't hold off Cupertino

The Cupertino Pioneers basketball team scored 54 points and held the visiting Homestead Mustangs to 49 in the Pioneers league triumph on Friday.
The Pioneers now sport a 9-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Palo Alto for a Santa Clara Valley - De Anza contest on Saturday, January 29. Cupertino will battle a Vikings team coming off a 48-36 league win over Mountain View (Mountain View, CA). The Vikings record now stands at 11-5.
The Mustangs (8-11) will now prepare for their contest against Mountain View (Mountain View, CA). The Spartans enter the Santa Clara Valley - De Anza contest with a 13-6 record. In their last contest, Mountain View was nudged by Palo Alto (Palo Alto, CA), 48-36, in a league contest.
