The Ironton Fighting Tigers (Ironton, OH) basketball nipped the host Dawson-Bryant Hornets (Coal Grove, OH), 78-72 in Friday's league test.
The Fighting Tigers (6-8) will now prepare for their test against Fairland (Proctorville, OH). The Dragons go into the Ohio Valley test with a 14-3 record. In their last test, Fairland got by Chesapeake (Chesapeake, OH), 60-56, in a league test.
The Hornets now own a 6-10 record. They play next when they travel to St. Joseph Central for a non-league test on Tuesday, February 1.
