Georgia High School Basketball - Echols County ripped by Irwin County

The Irwin County Indians basketball team scored 70 points and held the host Echols County Wildcats to 25 in the Indians league triumph on Friday.
The Indians now sport a 7-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lanier County for a A Public Region 2 contest on Saturday, January 29. Irwin County will meet a Bulldogs team coming off a 78-55 league win over Brooks County (Quitman, GA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 17-2.
The Wildcats (0-16) will now prepare for their contest against Valwood (Valdosta, GA). The Valiants enter the non-league contest with a 9-7 record. In their last contest, Valwood was routed by Tiftarea Academy (Chula, GA), 65-51, in a league contest.
