Mayo Spartans (Rochester, MN) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Faribault Falcons (Faribault, MN), 65-47 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Mayo upgrades its record to 8-7 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Austin (Austin, MN) to play the Packers in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 29. The Packers come into the bout with a record of 7-7.
Next up, the Falcons play the St. Peter Saints (St. Peter, MN) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 31. Faribault will attempt to upgrade on its 1-13 season record. The Saints come into the bout with a 9-10 record after their 74-44 non-league win over Waseca (Waseca, MN).
