Glen Lake Lakers (Maple City, MI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Leland Comets (Leland, MI), 73-14 in a league bout.

With the win, Glen Lake upgrades its record to 9-3 on the season. The Lakers travel to Buckley (Buckley, MI) to play the Bears in a Northwest bout on Tuesday, February 1. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 8-2. Buckley lost 85-67 in their recent league bout against Benzie Central (Benzonia, MI)

Next up, the Comets play the Suttons Bay Norsemen (Suttons Bay, MI) in a Northwest bout, on Tuesday, February 1. Leland will attempt to upgrade on its 0-10 season record. The Norsemen go into the bout with a 2-8 record after their 66-55 league loss to Frankfort (Frankfort, MI).
