Georgia High School Basketball - Pickens overwhelms Ridgeland

Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Pickens Dragons (Jasper, GA) and the host Ridgeland Panthers (Rossville, GA), saw Pickens's basketball squad wallop Ridgeland by a tally of 77-48.

With the victory, Pickens improves its record to 10-12 on the campaign. The Dragons travel to Northwest Whitfield (Tunnel Hill, GA) to confront the Bruins in a AAAA Region 7 challenge on Tuesday, February 1. The Bruins come into the challenge with a record of 18-3. Northwest Whitfield won 75-72 in their recent league challenge against Cedartown (Cedartown, GA)

Next up, the Panthers confront the Central Lions (Carrollton, GA) in a AAAA Region 7 challenge, on Tuesday, February 1. Ridgeland will attempt to improve on its 7-13 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 14-7 record after their 66-58 non-league loss to Villa Rica (Villa Rica, GA).
