South Dakota High School Basketball - North Central nudges Strasburg/Zeeland

North Central Thunder (Eureka, SD) fans went home happy Friday as they observed their basketball team edge the visiting Strasburg/Zeeland Clippers (Strasburg, ND), 36-34 in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Thunder meet the Great Plains Lutheran Panthers (Watertown, SD) in a non-league match, on Saturday, January 29. North Central will attempt to better on its 4-9 season record. The Panthers enter the match with a 8-6 record after their 66-38 non-league loss to Florence/Henry (Florence, SD).

With the defeat, Strasburg/Zeeland moves to 2-8 on the year. The Clippers host South Border co-op [Wishek/Ashley] (Wishek, ND) to meet the Mustangs in a B Region 3 District 6 match on Monday, January 31. The Mustangs enter the match with a record of 3-12. South Border co-op [Wishek/Ashley] lost 56-31 in their recent non-league match against Leola/Frederick (Leola, SD)
