In Friday's non-league battle, the host Ware County Gators soccer squad scored a close 6-1 triumph over the Brantley County Herons.
The Gators (1-0) will now prepare for their battle against Berrien (Nashville, GA). The Rebels come into the non-league battle with a 1-0 record. In their last battle, Berrien nudged Lanier County (Lakeland, GA), 4-0, in a non-league battle.
