Canyon Cougars (New Braunfels, TX) fans were pleased Friday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Veterans Memorial Patriots (San Antonio, TX), 7-1 in a league challenge.

Next, the Cougars confront the Lehman Lobo (Kyle, TX) in a 5A Region 4 District 26 challenge, on Tuesday, February 1. Canyon will attempt to better on its 6-6 season record. The Lobo enter the challenge with a 2-4 record after their 4-0 league win over Johnson (Buda, TX).

The Patriots now have a 4-9 record. They take the field next when they host Boerne-Champion for a 5A Region 4 District 26 challenge on Tuesday, February 1. Veterans Memorial will confront a Chargers team coming off a 2-1 league loss to Alamo Heights (San Antonio, TX). The Chargers record now stands at 2-3.
