Indiana High School Basketball - Monroe Central can't hold off Alexandria-Monroe

The Alexandria-Monroe Tigers basketball team scored 37 points and held the host Monroe Central Golden Bears to 31 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Tigers now sport a 8-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lapel for a non-league contest on Thursday, February 2. Alexandria-Monroe will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 61-51 non-league win over Oak Hill (Converse, IN). The Bulldogs record now stands at 8-9.

The Golden Bears (6-12) will now prepare for their contest against Union (Modoc, IN). The Rockets enter the Mid-Eastern contest with a 1-9 record. In their last contest, Union was nudged by Daleville (Daleville, IN), 72-13, in a league contest.
