Arcola Purple Riders (Arcola, IL) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Argenta-Oreana Bombers (Argenta, IL), 60-39 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Arcola upgrades its record to 10-11 on the campaign. The Purple Riders host Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] (Kansas, IL) to play the Titans in a Lincoln Prairie bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Titans come into the bout with a record of 5-18. Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] won 62-50 in their recent non-league bout against Villa Grove (Villa Grove, IL)

Next up, the Bombers play the Heyworth Hornets (Heyworth, IL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Argenta-Oreana will attempt to upgrade on its 12-12 season record. The Hornets come into the bout with a 16-8 record after their 50-36 league win over Fisher (Fisher, IL).
