The Augusta Red Devils (Augusta, AR) basketball nipped the visiting Midland Mustangs (Pleasant Plains, AR), 43-39 in Saturday's league test.
The Red Devils (9-9) will now prepare for their test against Clarendon (Clarendon, AR). The Lions go into the 1A Region 5 test with a 9-3 record. In their last test, Clarendon got by Scott Charter (Scott, AR), 62-36, in a league test.
The Mustangs now own a 1-12 record. They play next when they travel to White County Central for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 31. Midland will encounter a Bears squad coming off a 86-42 league loss to Cedar Ridge (Newark, AR). The Bears record now stands at 8-19.
