Westwood Wildcats (Camilla, GA) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Baker County Bears (Newton, GA), 55-40 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Westwood upgrades its record to 5-13 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Southwest Georgia Academy (Damascus, GA) to play the Warriors in a GIAA AA Region 3 bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Warriors come into the bout with a record of 6-11. Southwest Georgia Academy lost 58-46 in their recent league bout against Citizens Christian Academy (Douglas, GA)

Next up, the Bears play the Highland Christian Academy EAGLES (Valdosta, GA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Baker County will attempt to upgrade on its 0-9 season record. The EAGLES come into the bout with a 8-8 record after their 66-56 league win over Fullington Academy (Pinehurst, GA).
