The Bucksport Golden Bucks basketball team scored 56 points and restricted the visiting John Bapst Memorial Crusaders to 51 in the Golden Bucks league victory on Saturday.

The Golden Bucks now sport a 5-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mount Desert Island for a B North contest on Tuesday, January 31. Bucksport will battle a Trojans team coming off a 54-46 league loss to Presque Isle (Presque Isle, ME). The Trojans record now stands at 6-8.

The Crusaders (4-12) will now prepare for their contest against Foxcroft Academy (Dover-Foxcroft, ME). The Ponies come into the B North contest with a 9-4 record. In their last contest, Foxcroft Academy was nudged by Orono (Orono, ME), 74-52, in a league contest.
