North Clay/Clay City (Louisville, IL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Dieterich Movin Maroons (Dieterich, IL), 58-50 in a non-league bout.

With the win, North Clay/Clay City upgrades its record to 16-7 on the season. The travel to Neoga (Neoga, IL) to play the Indians in a National Trail bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 6-17. Neoga lost 59-47 in their recent non-league bout against Farina South Central (Farina, IL)

Next up, the Movin Maroons play the Brownstown/St. Elmo Eagles (St. Elmo, IL) in a National Trail bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Dieterich will attempt to upgrade on its 12-10 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 15-7 record after their 51-44 non-league loss to Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg (Windsor, IL).
