New York High School Basketball - Shelter Island overwhelmed by Greenport

The Greenport Porters basketball team scored 73 points and restricted the visiting Shelter Island Islanders to 35 in the Porters league victory on Saturday.
The Porters now sport a 3-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Smithtown Christian for a Section 11 B/C/D-5 contest on Monday, January 30. Greenport will battle a Knights team coming off a 63-48 league loss to Bridgehampton (Bridgehampton, NY). The Knights record now stands at 8-8.
The Islanders (0-11) will now prepare for their contest against Ross (East Hampton, NY). The come into the Section 11 B/C/D-5 contest with a 2-3 record. In their last contest, Ross triumphed over Shelter Island (Shelter Island, NY), 63-42, in a league contest.
