The High Point Wildcats basketball team scored 62 points and held the visiting Newton Braves to 48 in the Wildcats league triumph on Saturday.

The Wildcats now sport a 6-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Kittatinny Regional for a non-league contest on Monday, January 30. High Point will battle a Cougars team coming off a 64-46 non-league loss to Pope John XXIII (Sparta, NJ). The Cougars record now stands at 3-8.

The Braves (4-12) will now prepare for their contest against Sparta (Sparta, NJ). The Spartans enter the non-league contest with a 8-6 record.
