Klawock Chieftains (Klawock, AK) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Hoonah Braves (Hoonah, AK), 79-29 in a league bout.
With the win, Klawock upgrades its record to 9-1 on the season. The Chieftains host Yakutat (Yakutat, AK) to play the Eagles in a 1A Southeast bout on Friday, February 3. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 0-0.
Next up, the Braves play the Gustavus Foxes (Gustavus, AK) in a 1A Southeast bout, on Thursday, February 16. Hoonah will attempt to upgrade on its 0-7 season record.
