Oregon High School Basketball - Monroe can't hold off Illinois Valley

The Illinois Valley Cougars basketball team scored 55 points and restricted the visiting Monroe Dragons to 51 in the Cougars league victory on Saturday.
The Cougars now sport a 11-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Waldport for a 2A Valley Coast contest on Tuesday, January 31. Illinois Valley will battle a Irish team coming off a 61-32 league loss to Central Linn (Halsey, OR). The Irish record now stands at 2-16.
The Dragons (9-10) will now prepare for their contest against Central Linn (Halsey, OR). The Cobras come into the 2A Valley Coast contest with a 12-7 record. In their last contest, Central Linn edged Waldport (Waldport, OR), 61-32, in a league contest.
