Texas High School Basketball - Spring topped by MacArthur

The MacArthur Generals basketball team scored 69 points and restricted the visiting Spring Lions to 61 in the Generals league victory on Saturday.

The Generals now sport a 15-14 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Westfield for a 6A Region II District 14 contest on Wednesday, February 1. MacArthur will battle a Mustangs team coming off a 58-54 league win over Eisenhower (Houston, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 13-14.

The Lions (9-16) will now prepare for their contest against Dekaney (Houston, TX). The Wildcats come into the 6A Region II District 14 contest with a 9-21 record. In their last contest, Dekaney prevailed over Aldine (Houston, TX), 63-61, in a league contest.
