Presque Isle Wildcats (Presque Isle, ME) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Mount Desert Island Trojans (Mount Desert, ME), 54-46 in a league bout.

With the win, Presque Isle upgrades its record to 6-8 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Foxcroft Academy (Dover-Foxcroft, ME) to play the Ponies in a B North bout on Saturday, February 4. The Ponies go into the bout with a record of 10-4.

Next up, the Trojans play the Bucksport Golden Bucks (Bucksport, ME) in a B North bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Mount Desert Island will attempt to upgrade on its 6-8 season record. The Golden Bucks go into the bout with a 5-8 record after their 56-51 league win over John Bapst Memorial (Bangor, ME).
