Wisner-Pilger Gators (Wisner, NE) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Pender Pendragons (Pender, NE), 45-34 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Wisner-Pilger upgrades its record to 12-5 on the campaign. The Gators travel to Stanton (Stanton, NE) to play the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Mustangs come into the bout with a record of 6-11. Stanton won 61-54 in their recent non-league bout against North Bend Central (North Bend, NE)

Next up, the Pendragons play the Tekamah-Herman Tigers (Tekamah, NE) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Pender will attempt to upgrade on its 4-16 season record. The Tigers come into the bout with a 2-15 record after their 78-29 non-league loss to Bancroft-Rosalie (Bancroft, NE).
