Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the Quitman Panthers (Quitman, MS) and the host Richland Rangers (Richland, MS), saw Quitman's basketball squad wallop Richland by a tally of 65-30.

With the victory, Quitman improves its record to 7-6 on the campaign. The Panthers host Northeast Jones (Laurel, MS) to confront the Tigers in a 4A Region 5 challenge on Wednesday, February 1. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 1-7.

Next up, the Rangers confront the Newton County Cougars (Decatur, MS) in a 4A Region 5 challenge, on Wednesday, February 1. Richland will attempt to improve on its 3-9 season record.
