New Mexico High School Basketball - Alamo Navajo trounces Hondo Valley

The Alamo Navajo Cougars (Magdalena, NM) basketball crushed the host Hondo Valley Eagles (Hondo, NM), 60-26 in Saturday's league test.
The Cougars (15-5) will now prepare for their test against Mescalero Apache (Mescalero, NM). The Chiefs go into the non-league test with a 14-6 record.
The Eagles now own a 2-9 record. They play next when they travel to Carrizozo for a A District 3 test on Monday, January 30. Hondo Valley will encounter a Grizzlies squad coming off a 60-20 league loss to Corona/Vaughn (Corona, NM). The Grizzlies record now stands at 0-17.
