In Saturday's league match, the host Ledyard Colonels basketball team scored a tight 51-48 triumph over the Bacon Academy Bobcats.
With the victory, Ledyard improves its record to 9-7 on the campaign. The Colonels host Killingly (Killingly, CT) to play the Redmen in a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 2. The Redmen come into the challenge with a record of 9-3.
Next up, the Bobcats play the East Lyme Vikings (East Lyme, CT) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 31. Bacon Academy will attempt to improve on its 14-1 season record. The Vikings come into the challenge with a 5-10 record after their 47-33 non-league loss to Killingly (Killingly, CT).
