Rhode Island High School Basketball - Block Island tops Blackstone Valley Prep

Spectators at Saturday's league test between the Block Island (New Shoreham, RI) and the host Blackstone Valley Prep PRIDE (Cumberland, RI), witnessed Block Island's basketball squad topple Blackstone Valley Prep by a margin of 31-18.
The (3-3) will now prepare for their test against Johnston (Johnston, RI). The Panthers go into the Division 4 test with a 9-6 record. In their last test, Johnston notched a victory over Blackstone Valley Prep (Cumberland, RI), 31-15, in a league test.
The PRIDE now own a 2-12 record. They play next when they travel to Hope for a Division 4 test on Wednesday, February 1. Blackstone Valley Prep will encounter a Blue Wave squad coming off a 47-26 league loss to Lincoln School (Providence, RI). The Blue Wave record now stands at 2-10.
