Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the Boyd County Lions (Ashland, KY) and the visiting Blazer Tomcats (Ashland, KY), saw Boyd County's basketball squad hold off Blazer by a count of 64-62.

With the victory, Boyd County upgrades its record to 14-5 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Russell (Russell, KY) to play the Red Devils in a non-league challenge on Monday, January 30. The Red Devils come into the challenge with a record of 15-8. Russell won 63-48 in their recent non-league challenge against Ryle (Union, KY)

Next up, the Tomcats play the Paintsville Tigers (Paintsville, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 31. Blazer will attempt to upgrade on its 16-5 season record.
