Buckeye Trail Warriors (Lore City, OH) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Newcomerstown Trojans (Newcomerstown, OH), 43-23 in a league bout.

With the win, Buckeye Trail upgrades its record to 12-6 on the season. The Warriors host Barnesville (Barnesville, OH) to play the Shamrocks in a non-league bout on Monday, January 30. The Shamrocks go into the bout with a record of 5-14. Barnesville lost 62-50 in their recent non-league bout against Linsly (Wheeling, WV)

Next up, the Trojans play the East Canton Hornets (East Canton, OH) in a Inter-Valley bout, on Wednesday, February 1. Newcomerstown will attempt to upgrade on its 2-12 season record. The Hornets go into the bout with a 5-15 record after their 49-23 league loss to Tuscarawas Central Catholic (New Philadelphia, OH).
