The Spotswood Trailblazers basketball team (Penn Laird, VA), was overwhelmed 67-34 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Carroll County Cavaliers (Hillsville, VA)

The Cavaliers now possess a 18-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Alleghany for a Three Rivers battle on Tuesday, January 31. Carroll County will battle a Mountaineers team coming off a 44-21 non-league win over Craig County (New Castle, VA). The Mountaineers record now stands at 12-6.

The Trailblazers (15-3) will now prepare for their battle against Rockbridge County (Lexington, VA). The Wildcats come into the Valley battle with a 2-17 record. In their last battle, Rockbridge County was overwhelmed by Salem (Salem, VA), 53-30, in a non-league battle.
