The Cliff Cowboys/Cowgirls basketball team scored 52 points and held the visiting Magdalena Steers to 40 in the Cowboys/Cowgirls league triumph on Saturday.

The Cowboys/Cowgirls now sport a 15-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Reserve for a A District 2 contest on Thursday, February 2. Cliff will battle a Mountaineers team coming off a 48-32 league win over Mesilla Valley Christian School (Las Cruces, NM). The Mountaineers record now stands at 10-8.

The Steers (12-8) will now prepare for their contest against Quemado (Quemado, NM). The Eagles enter the A District 2 contest with a 13-6 record. In their last contest, Quemado was defeated by Animas (Animas, NM), 56-28, in a league contest.
