Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the Delta Panthers (Delta, CO) and the host Summit Tigers (Frisco, CO), saw Delta's basketball squad hold off Summit by a tally of 40-39.

With the victory, Delta improves its record to 9-5 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Rifle (Rifle, CO) to play the Bears in a 4A Western Slope challenge on Tuesday, January 31. The Bears come into the challenge with a record of 7-10. Rifle lost 55-45 in their recent league challenge against Moffat County (Craig, CO)

Next up, the Tigers play the Coal Ridge Titans (New Castle, CO) in a 4A Western Slope challenge, on Friday, February 3. Summit will attempt to improve on its 7-7 season record. The Titans come into the challenge with a 12-4 record after their 60-16 league win over Steamboat Springs (Steamboat Springs, CO).
