Georgia High School Basketball - Hancock Central overwhelmed by Washington County

The Hancock Central Bulldogs basketball team (Sparta, GA), was overwhelmed 70-15 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Washington County Golden Hawks (Sandersville, GA)

The Golden Hawks now possess a 8-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Putnam County for a AA Region 4A battle on Tuesday, January 31. Washington County will confront a War Eagles team coming off a 49-38 league loss to Westside (Augusta, GA). The War Eagles record now stands at 5-12.

The Bulldogs (0-16) will now prepare for their battle against Glascock County (Gibson, GA). The Panthers come into the A D2 Region 5 battle with a 7-8 record. In their last battle, Glascock County trounced Twiggs County (Jeffersonville, GA), 51-38, in a league battle.
