The Rockcastle County Rockets (Mt. Vernon, KY) basketball nipped the visiting Harlan Green Dragons (Harlan, KY), 62-56 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Rockets (14-6) will now prepare for their test against Whitley County (Williamsburg, KY). The Colonels go into the non-league test with a 5-10 record. In their last test, Whitley County was tipped by Corbin (Corbin, KY), 72-22, in a league test.
The Green Dragons now own a 4-10 record. They play next when they host Bell County for a District 52 test on Tuesday, January 31. Harlan will encounter a Bobcats squad coming off a 72-71 non-league loss to South Laurel (London, KY). The Bobcats record now stands at 14-6.
