Highland Hornets (Medina, OH) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Roosevelt Rough Riders (Kent, OH), 57-51 in a league bout.

With the win, Highland upgrades its record to 15-4 on the season. The Hornets travel to Western Reserve Academy (Hudson, OH) to play the Pioneers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Pioneers go into the bout with a record of 9-8. Western Reserve Academy lost 52-38 in their recent non-league bout against Varsity Opponent (, )

Next up, the Rough Riders play the Springfield Spartans (Akron, OH) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, February 1. Roosevelt will attempt to upgrade on its 9-11 season record. The Spartans go into the bout with a 4-14 record after their 61-19 league loss to Streetsboro (Streetsboro, OH).
