The Independence Blue Devils basketball team scored 43 points and restricted the host Lutheran West Longhorns to 29 in the Blue Devils league victory on Saturday.

The Blue Devils now sport a 10-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Brooklyn for a Chagrin Valley - Metro contest on Wednesday, February 1. Independence will battle a Hurricanes team coming off a 57-43 league win over Trinity (Garfield Heights, OH). The Hurricanes record now stands at 12-5.

The Longhorns (4-15) will now prepare for their contest against Cuyahoga Heights (Cleveland, OH). The Red Wolves come into the Chagrin Valley - Metro contest with a 13-5 record. In their last contest, Cuyahoga Heights was defeated by Richmond Heights (Richmond Heights, OH), 46-27, in a league contest.
