Joppa-Maple Grove Rangers (Joppa, IL) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Shawnee Redskins (Wolf Lake, IL), 35-18 in a league bout.

With the victory, Joppa-Maple Grove upgrades its record to 4-16 on the campaign. The Rangers host Meridian (Mounds, IL) to play the Bobcats in a South Egyptian bout on Monday, January 30. The Bobcats come into the bout with a record of 14-9. Meridian lost 61-29 in their recent non-league bout against Marion (Marion, IL)

Next up, the Redskins play the Century Centurions (Ullin, IL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Shawnee will attempt to upgrade on its 2-11 season record.
